- : I don't know about a Mac modem cable, but it uses a miniDIN-8 to DB-25
- : cable. Here's the pinout connections, with my numbering for the
- : miniDIN-8, just in case my ordering is nonstandard (as it probably is):
-
- Well I got one of these cards from a guy on the net and the card was beat up
- pretty bad (I wont mention the assholes name here...but I should) and I
- upgraded it to 28800 which was pretty simple. I put a socket in for the
- crystal just in case too, but I haven't had a problem yet. I only have 2
- modems though so I am not sure about all the ports @ 28.8. BUT I can open
- wide the 2 modems I have and let them blaze!
-
- The other thing I got from the asshole were 5 mac cables...that do not work.
- the mac cables have pins switched and don't have rts/cts lines (good only
- for 9600). The asshole said that he had all the cables for it! NOT I guess!
-
- So I went to the local mac store and found out that they have 2 differnt
- types of mac cables one for the mac+ and one for the quadras... but I wasn't
- willing to shell out the $25 smackers they wanted and went to the local
- electronics hut and picked up a couple of mini dins for $1.50 each and made
- my own cables. (with help from some generous souls on irc for the pinouts
- and a copy of the disk, which you will need).
-
- Good luck its a nice board if you can get it up to speed!
